My King With Me

O Lord, my King,

I’m strong in you.

You go before me,

walk beside me,

hem me in from behind.

Your Spirit dwells within me

in union with my spirit.

Your strength covers my weakness,

your grace abounds where I’m vulnerable,

your mercy pours forth where I’m broken.

Your wise beyond all human wisdom,

your compassionate and just with all-encompassing sight,

your light scatters all darkness.

You’re faithful and true,

you hear and answer my cries.

I’ll be strong and courageous

because I know you are always with me.

You will never forsake me.

Amen.
