Waiting On Dreams

Lord,

Let my worship be in spirit and in truth,

loving you wholeheartedly, single-mindedly.

Help me to surrender my desires, dreams, longings

where they are safest,

into your hands,

allowing you to give and take away

as you please,

trusting in your perfect timing,

your perfect love knows what’s best.

In the waiting,

strengthen my spirit, my inner man.

Root and ground me

in the heights, widths, lengths, depths of your love.

cherishing you, your presence

above anything else,

knowing you are already my great reward

and that everything else

is a blessing from the overflow of your heart.

Let me taste and know that you are good

in the land of the living,

so that my heart and soul will sing praise to you

all the days of my life.
