In Your Presence

Father,

let me never leave this place

of being loved, cherished by you,

seen to the core of my heart,

accepted unconditionally,

attended to,

cared for,

with tender mercies

and pure grace.

Thank you for bringing me here

through sin, brokenness, and loss.

I never could have come alone,

I never would have known,

that such a love existed,

if you hadn’t drawn me,

put the cry in my heart,

and gathered me to you.

Protect me,

don’t let me be deceived and distracted,

by other lovers and shiny things.

Put your love in my heart

that I may adore you all of my days,

this was what I was made for,

and life feels right,

makes sense here…

in your presence.

I love you God.

Amen.

Thank You Lord

Lord,

I praise you for your salvation,

thank you for saving me,

from my old, dead self —

the sin, shame, striving, and condemnation.

Thank you for holding onto me

when doubt clouded my faith.

Thank you for loving me

when I’ve held back from you in unbelief.

Thank you for pursuing me

when I’ve run away from you and hid.

Thank you for making yourself known to me,

through all the lies and distortions I’ve held about you.

Thank you for never giving up on me,

even when I kept my heart small, hard, close, and hidden.

You are so good Lord,

your love always wins.

I praise you that broken me

has always come face to face

with your mercy, lovingkindness, and grace.

My life is yours Lord,

Amen.

Light Of The World

Light of the world,

we bless you.

Thank you for stepping into our darkness,

and saving us,

bringing comfort in our chaos,

opening our eyes and hearts to see

your beautiful mercy,

your welcoming heart,

you who are the only One who saves.

We rest in the sweetness of your Spirit,

your presence like honey,

anointing us with love,

precious fellowship,

warm camaraderie with you,

your good cheer,

happy heart

fills us with gladness,

and we remember you,

we worship you,

and bless you today.

Amen.

Everything I Need

Lord,

I have everything I need in you,

right now, this moment,

for your grace is sufficient,

to carry me through the day.

I ask you for strength in my inner man,

that you will dwell in my heart through faith,

guarding me,

keeping my heart steady

riding through discouragement and setbacks,

setting me up for another breakthrough

of your love and provision

that your praise would ever be on my lips.

I ask you for faith,

to cast off the enemy’s lies and accusations,

to push back the clouds of unbelief,

to lean into your Spirit

not my own strength,

and to stand firm in your Word and promises.

I ask you for provision

for needs I can’t foresee,

for my hands to receive and give.

Release your divine appointments

to be in the right place,

with the right people,

at the right time,

that your blessings may flow freely

in and through your Body.

I praise you for what you have given me today,

and I trust in you for my tomorrow.

Thank you for wholesome life,

deep comfort in your presence,

I bless you Lord.

Amen.

God’s Love Is Everything

Abba,

Thank you for proving your love again and again,

your mercy and lovingkindness

are new every morning,

an endless well brimming over,

you love me despite my unbelief.

You are faithful when I am faithless.

I’m loved in my brokenness and weakness,

I’m loved, burnt out and exhausted,

I’m loved in my failures, mistakes, and wrong turns,

I’m loved in my mediocrity, inadequacy, and inability,

I’m loved in my pride, independence, and rebellion,

I’m loved in my self righteousness and sin.

You loved me through the wilderness,

teaching me what love is,

you love me because you are love,

and you’ve chosen me in your love.

I praise you that your love is not based

on my performance, excellence, or merit.

You give and you take away as you please,

I remind myself, I came naked and will return to dust,

everything I have comes from you,

is for you, goes back to you,

you sustain all that I am.

Apart from you I’m nothing Lord,

naked, bereft, cold, hard, proud,

miserable, deceived, heading straight for hell.

But you made the way through your Son,

you drew me,

you saved me,

you cleanse, heal me,

and make me whole.

You give me new life and life abundant,

you have given me yourself,

you are my portion, my cup, my inhertance,

and I praise you Lord.

Amen.

Thanksgiving Feast

Abba,

Thank you for displaying your love

again and again,

despite me… my frenetic anxiety and fears,

and for inviting me to your banqueting table,

laying out a feast

for a starved heart.

I drink in your presence

and peace overflows,

washing away the cares of this world.

Your Spirit effervesces in mine,

bubbling up joy,

lighting up my countenance,

making my face bright.

I feast on your Word,

your promises and instructions,

wholesome and good like fresh bread,

full from your goodness and faithfulness.

I draw close to the warmth of your love,

surrounded by you, your Son, and the Spirit,

resting my heart in your wisdom,

enjoying your rich silence.

I praise you for being my loving Abba.

Thank you for being my shelter,

my refuge and rest.

Thank you for being my food,

my strength and sustenance.

Thank you for being my covering,

my protection and defense.

Thank you for making the way

so I will feast eternally with you.

I am rich,

I’m grateful for you Abba today.

Amen.

Lover Of My Soul

Lord,

Thank you for saving me,

lifting my soul up and out of the miry clay,

gifting me your Spirit,

breathing eternal life into me,

buoying me up by your mercy and grace

to traverse this life with you.

In you I have no lack,

my vulnerabilities find your strength,

my pain finds your healing and comfort,

my frustrations, your hope and counsel.

Fill this broken cup,

so that your healing, comfort, joy, and life

would overflow,

and that in all of my being,

utterly dependent on your love,

you would be so glorified

as Lover and Messiah of our souls.

I bless you Lord.

Amen.

Sweet Companionship

Lord,

You have shown me the Father,

gentle, generous, gracious, and kind,

good, wise, and perfect,

disciplining me for my good,

keeping me within pleasant boundaries

that are good for my soul.

You are my Provider,

meeting all my needs,

you are my Comforter,

you will never leave me nor forsake me.

You have given me everything I need,

every spiritual blessing

to walk in holiness and perfection in your eyes.

Help me to joyfully fellowship with you

in your suffering,

as you walked a stranger in this world.

Let me let go of my familiarity with the world,

to be your friend,

that my attachments to this world would fade away

in the light of your beautiful face,

and help me to just be still and walk

with you in the garden,

knowing there’s no other place I’d rather be

than with you as your companion.

I still my heart,

focusing my inward gaze upon you,

and I praise you and bless your Name.

Amen.

Giving Thanks

Lord,

Thank you that you’re with me

in the midst of circumstances

that frustrate, confound, press, and overwhelm,

thank you that I’m not alone.

Help me to zoom out,

expand my perspective,

and rejoice once more

in my eternal salvation,

your love that fills the universe,

and your goodness throughout time.

Thank you for my breath,

my life at this point in history,

your Spirit dwelling inside of me,

and for your goodness throughout my life.

I thank you for your lovingkindness,

your provision and care,

your guidance and counsel,

your encouragement and hope.

I thank you for your discipline,

for your boundaries and order,

for your wisdom and lessons,

hard but good, bringing life.

I thank you for the seeds of life

you’ve planted in me,

identity, healing, and purpose

that slowly bear fruit.

Even when I wander, slip, fall back,

I thank you that you’ll never let go.

I give honor, praise, splendor, and glory to you

who keep me from falling away,

and will present me unblemished and spotless

to Him with triumphant joy and indescribable delight.

I wait for that day,

and humbly cast myself unto you again,

and thank you that you have me,

and all will be well.

It is well with my soul.

Amen.
