Sweet Praise

Lord,

thank you for this moment,

this breath,

to remember you

and give thanks.

It is good;

and all is well with my soul.

Put a new song in my heart today,

and fill me with a spirit of praise,

let my lips be sweet

with lyric and melody,

proclaiming your precious Name,

singing of your glory and goodness,

my heart open wide,

as my hands are lifted up,

my feet swift to dance,

joy chasing my steps.

As I lay my head down to rest,

let me remember your steadfast love,

your faithfulness, your wonderful works

that sustained me through my day,

and marvel at your wisdom,

your thoughts, and your ways

that kept me in the path

of your light and blessing.

Lord, you are the source of life

and the Light of the world,

let me stay close,

ever praising your Name!

Amen.

Praise The Lord

Lord,

I praise you,

you are beautiful,

glorious, resplendent, and kind,

your goodness shines upon the earth,

the skies and heavens trumpet your joy,

your sweetness hovers over the early morning dew,

over my heart,

as a new day begins,

fresh hope,

renewed strength, mercies, and grace are found in you.

Bless this day,

put a new song in my heart,

and grant me a spirit of praise

to join the chorus in heaven,

may a fragrant incense of worship

arise to you,

and delight your heart.

I love you and bless you Lord.

Amen.

Where The Spirit Goes

Lord,

you have set me free,

broken the chains,

released the fetters,

sin and death no longer have a hold on me.

I cling to you,

your Spirit a power, a force,

holy personality moving me forward,

your Word a light,

piercing through the darkness,

beckoning me to come…

be bold, courageous,

have faith.

I’m needing you more

than ever before,

all the way to forever,

please don’t ever let me go.

Let me not shrink back any longer,

but jump on this wild ride,

my heart and life,

sails for your Spirit to fill

wherever, to whomever, you may please.

Bless me, use me,

I say yes and surrender my life to you,

all for your glory.

I praise you Lord.

Amen.

Love All Around

Beautiful Lord,

open my eyes

to see your love all around,

ocean swells buoying me up,

lifting and carrying me

through the flotsam and jetsam of the day.

Thank you for the all the ways you love me

that I don’t even know,

I’m not even aware of,

help me to never take you for granted.

Pierce through the veil

and let me see beyond

that I may perceive your reflection

in the one standing in front of me,

those all around me,

that your love wouldn’t stop with me,

but would catch fire,

and grow and grow,

that a bonfire of praise would arise

from all around,

all the way up to the heavens

and bless your heart.

I praise you Lord.

Amen.

I Praise You Lord

Lord,

I worship you.

Son of God,

Son of man

made of skin, bone, and flesh,

yet filled with Holy Spirit,

stepping into time

making eternity known,

your Word, sacrifice, death, and resurrection.

your love, mercy, and grace,

Your presence is life,

you save and deliver,

you redeem and resurrect,

your wisdom is from above,

all your ways perfect and good.

There’s none like you,

holy, beautiful, unknowable God,

who has pursued and grasped my heart,

loved me into surrender,

and resurrected my life.

You alone are Lord,

King of kings,

the one true God.

and I praise you alone Lord,

Amen.

I Will Praise

Lord,

I praise you in all my circumstances,

thankful that this can be my offering

when the enemy overwhelms

and life gets dark,

I’m blessed to praise you.

It’s a chance to exercise my faith

on this side of heaven,

such a simple act

where there’s sorrow, frustration, and pain,

where my eyes are still veiled,

and I only dimly perceive your Spirit,

I’m blessed to praise you.

Thank you that it’s what I’m made for,

the eternal preoccupation of my spirit,

to gaze upon your beauty,

worship you in truth and Spirit,

and wait upon your presence.

The enemy lies with distractions and anxieties,

tasks that push and press.

He’s a liar and deceiver,

and I cast these thoughts that overwhelm

into your care,

and I praise you.

I praise you for your salvation,

your mighty healing and deliverance,

your lovingkindness, mercy, and care,

your guidance, counsel, and leading.

I praise you for your timing,

your perfect will and ways,

your holiness, your mystery,

revealing yourself to the world,

to me.

I praise you Abba, Son, and Ruach,

I’m secure, I’m safe, I’m well content

in the fellowship of your beautiful presence.

Amen.

Lover Of My Soul

Lord,

Thank you for saving me,

lifting my soul up and out of the miry clay,

gifting me your Spirit,

breathing eternal life into me,

buoying me up by your mercy and grace

to traverse this life with you.

In you I have no lack,

my vulnerabilities find your strength,

my pain finds your healing and comfort,

my frustrations, your hope and counsel.

Fill this broken cup,

so that your healing, comfort, joy, and life

would overflow,

and that in all of my being,

utterly dependent on your love,

you would be so glorified

as Lover and Messiah of our souls.

I bless you Lord.

Amen.

Giving Thanks

Lord,

Thank you that you’re with me

in the midst of circumstances

that frustrate, confound, press, and overwhelm,

thank you that I’m not alone.

Help me to zoom out,

expand my perspective,

and rejoice once more

in my eternal salvation,

your love that fills the universe,

and your goodness throughout time.

Thank you for my breath,

my life at this point in history,

your Spirit dwelling inside of me,

and for your goodness throughout my life.

I thank you for your lovingkindness,

your provision and care,

your guidance and counsel,

your encouragement and hope.

I thank you for your discipline,

for your boundaries and order,

for your wisdom and lessons,

hard but good, bringing life.

I thank you for the seeds of life

you’ve planted in me,

identity, healing, and purpose

that slowly bear fruit.

Even when I wander, slip, fall back,

I thank you that you’ll never let go.

I give honor, praise, splendor, and glory to you

who keep me from falling away,

and will present me unblemished and spotless

to Him with triumphant joy and indescribable delight.

I wait for that day,

and humbly cast myself unto you again,

and thank you that you have me,

and all will be well.

It is well with my soul.

Amen.

Wait On Him

Lord,

I wait on you,

trusting you’re moving where I cannot see.

I release those I love into your care,

confident you’ve placed your desires in my heart,

expectant you’ll answer my cries.

I will see salvation, healing, deliverance,

a revival of your Spirit,

you moving and transforming,

bringing the dead to life.

I’m excited Lord,

because I know you are good,

beyond faithful, true to your promises,

and you never let go of those you’ve called,

to the end you pursue.

So let me be strong in your love,

patient to move with your nudges,

seeing through your eyes of mercy and truth,

hoping in your awesome power and redemption,

believing in your perfect work,

submitted to your will, your way, your timing,

surrendered of my own.

Glorify yourself O Lord,

magnify your Name,

bring your lost children into your fold,

and let the bells ring, praises rise up,

heavens rejoice,

until your soon coming.

I praise you Lord!

Amen.

He Raises Up

Lord,

I praise you for your perfect love, absolute goodness,

and beautiful justice.

I thank you for your promises

to pour out living waters upon those who are thirsty,

making streams in dry ground,

pouring out your Spirit on all your people,

and blessing the generations.

I praise you that those made righteous in you

will spring up like new plants,

sprouts thriving by clear waters.

We are yours Lord,

thank you for sealing us with the Spirit,

your Name is ever on our minds,

written on our hands.

You are the First and the Last,

there is no God besides,

none to compare, no second to you.

I won’t be afraid or anxious for the storms to come,

for you have long proclaimed and declared it.

Thank you that I may be your witness

now and forevermore,

worshipping you my Rock and my Redeemer.

I bless you Lord.

Amen.
