Word Of God

Lord,

grant me a hunger and thirst for your Word,

let me read, peer in,

Spirit, lead me and guide me into all Truth,

increase the spirit of wisdom and revelation upon me,

to see you clearly and rightly—

to know your heart,

your personality,

your thoughts,

your character,

your eyes of fire,

your hair as white as wool,

your outline, your shape,

your life and death,

your eternal presence going before me,

a window into God’s heart.

Be pleased to reveal yourself to me,

that I may offer pure delight and worship unto you.

I bless you Lord.

Water My Roots

Lord,

Thank you for your Word

that teaches, rebukes, corrects,

and trains up in righteousness.

I ask you for a greater hunger and thirst for your Word.

Increase your spirit of wisdom and revelation upon my heart

that I would know you rightly.

convict and transform me.

Water my roots so that

I may have a strong foundation of righteousness in you.

Please send the right teachers in the right season

Armor Of God

Lord,

Strengthen me in you,

let me be empowered

knowing your Spirit dwells within me.

Teach me, show me, help me

to put on and stand in the full armor of God.

When the darkness presses in,

and the schemes, wiles, and deceits of the evil one.

Grant me success and victory,

standing firm with an overcoming spirit,

immovable and absolutely ready,

filled with power, love, and a sound mind.

Grant me an upright heart as my breastplate,

truth, courage, and integrity to bind around my waist,

feet quick to run with the good news,

hoisting up a shield of faith,

to extinguish the fiery arrows of the enemy.

Let me put on the helmet of salvation

wield the sword of your Spirit,

thinking upon your beautiful works,

testifying of your Truth.

Fill me with a spirit of prayer,

alert, active, discerning, persevering,

passionate in my requests,

so that your presence may be with me,

your power at work all around,

and that heaven may come upon earth.

I praise you and bless you Lord.

Precious Word

Lord,

thank you for your Word,

let it divide soul and spirit,

bone and marrow within.

Give me your grace

to choose life,

your Spirit overcoming,

having your victory

in and through my life.

Keep me in your peace,

that I would be unshakable,

standing firm in your love,

who you say I am,

cast all voices of condemnation and shame

far from me.

Let me give attention to your words,

incline my ears to you,

keeping your Word in my heart,

never letting it leave my sight,

for they are life and health,

blessing and peace to me.

Simplicity & Intimacy

Lord,

thank you for your Word,

thank you for your Spirit.

Bring me back into simplicity,

learning to rest,

waiting on you

in simple devotion

and childlike faith.

Let me trust in your living Word,

your gracious guidance,

obeying with a wholehearted yes,

believing the goodness of your commands.

Help me to stand firm in faith,

knowing my steps are secure in you,

for your grace is sufficient,

you provide all I need for the day.

Release your revelation and resource,

divine appointments and angelic help,

strengthen my spirit, give me faith,

that my inner man would be strong,

rooted and grounded in your love,

full of hope and joy,

and I live true from the inside out,

Kiss me with your presence,

be my vision, my goal,

my great reward,

and let me love the process

because you are with me,

and the fullness of my joy,

purpose, peace, and life

is you alone.

Help me to cast the cares of this world on you,

so that I may keep first things first…

Word Of Life

Abba,

I thank you for your love,

sending your Son down,

He came to save the world,

dying for for all our sins,

not condemn it,

to give life forever.

I praise you that you have always, only

drawn me by love

by your Spirit,

and I’m grateful for your words,

so different from the accusations of the enemy

and my own self condemnation.

Your words are life-giving, gentle, and kind,

wise, instructive, and gracious,

bringing peace and comfort,

merciful refreshing and restoration.

Cleanse me once more with your Word,

put a burning coal upon my lips

that my guilt would be taken away

and my sin atoned for.

Anoint me with a fresh grace

to speak words that bring healing and life

from a gentle heart and soothing tongue,

spreading wisdom and knowledge of you,

lifting up prayers that you hear and delight in.

Give me a willing heart to learn from your Son

gentle and humble in heart.

Thank you for your love,

the Word,

and life eternal in you.

Lord Of My Heart

Lord,

You are the Word,

the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Let my heart wrap around your Word,

remembering, heeding, meditating, obeying,

not letting them escape my sight,

treasuring them in the center of my heart.

Your living Word is life to my soul,

bringing vitality, strength, and healing to my body.

Root me and ground me in you,

in your love,

strengthen my inner man

that I may grasp the heights, depths, widths, and lengths of your love,

your perfect love that casts out all fear,

Help me to guard my heart,

stoke the flames of your love,

I pray your fire would burn brightly within,

unquenched by defilement from the world.

Keep me, protect me from temptation and sin,

and give me grace to be wholehearted, single minded for you.

Search me and know my heart,

test me and know my anxious thoughts,

see if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.
