Gracious Father

Father,

I bless you for revealing yourself to me,

giving me your Son,

drawing me, opening my eyes

by your Holy Spirit,

to see what you have done,

loving this wretch into you holy arms,

buying my soul

at the price of your Son’s blood.

Thank you Father

for the blood of the Lamb

who was slain for me.

Increase my faith Father,

stretch the edges,

push out the boundaries,

give me clear vision,

to truly see you and know you,

that I may love you,

rejoice,

and worship you rightly.

I praise you and thank you,

loving, merciful God,

you are a good, good Father.

Amen.

Lose My Life For Gain

Lord,

Thank you for coming down from heaven to earth

to the world you made,

the people you created,

misunderstood, isolated, abused, and suffering at our hands,

shedding your blood

and giving up your life

to be our perfect sacrifice

to do away with the power of sin and death forever and ever,

setting me free to believe and live.

Thank you for making the way,

the path clear to enter heaven

to the Father’s heart

where I belong and find rest for my soul.

Grant me the grace to lose myself,

lose my life, lose my all for your sake,

that I may find life,

to lay down my flesh, my chaotic emotions, my unwieldy passions

to follow you and serve you.

I am yours and my life is not my own,

it is yours, all yours,

let me decrease that you may increase,

and would your Spirit arise within me

filling me with power, love, and a sound mind.

Lord, it’s not about me anymore,

would you show me your heart and thoughts,

your will, purposes, and your ways?

Grant me your vision,

boldness, faith, courage,

determination, diligence, and persistence,

strength and power by the Spirit

to do the works you’ve called me to do.

Thank you for your ever present help, support, and fellowship,

I am not alone.

Let your eyes run to and fro through the earth,

and please let me be found worthy to be used by you.

I bless you Lord,

you alone are God and worthy of all my praise.
