Provider

Abba,

I praise you who hold the universe in your hands,

creator of all the heavens, galaxies, planets, and the stars,

sustaining the earth with your breath,

the sun’s rays and rain,

down to the sparrow to whom you provide seed.

Forgive me for doubting your love,

your ability to provide,

you are the Master

that owns all the cattle on the hill,

and you love me,

your child, made in your image,

you call me your own.

I ask Abba

provide for all my needs,

so that I will never lack and be tempted to steal,

or have so much and be tempted to forget you,

that I may not be dependent on the generosity of others,

but have enough for myself

and be resourced and ready to be a blessing to others.

Equip me on every level, every way,

give me a fresh infusion of your Spirit,

so that I may faithfully fulfill your purposes for my life.

Giver of life, abounding grace, and all good gifts,

I praise you,

entrusting my life in your hands.

I am yours, and you are mine,

I give myself, my all right back to you.

I love you.

Amen.

Divinely Appointed

Lord,

I praise you for your Spirit,

your power, intelligence, and love,

silent, active, a whisper,

moving behind the scenes,

orchestrating and working all things

in alignment with your perfect will,

for my good,

for justice and love,

for your kingdom come.

I praise you for the right people

in the right place at the right time,

the exact resources I need

to fulfill your priorities for my life.

I thank you that I have no lack,

all I need is you,

owner of all the cattle on a hill,

creator of all things, every resource,

bestower of every spiritual blessing.

Open my eyes to see you,

open my ears to hear you,

open my heart to move with you.

Drench me with the riches of your presence,

and bless me to do your will.

Let me delight in and love your ways Lord!

Amen.

A Jewish Prayer

“Our God, our father,

care for us, provide for us, sustain us,

give us our needs, prosper us —

and speedily relieve us of all our sorrows.

Let us not be in need of the generosity of human beings

not of their loans,

but only of Your full, open, abundant, and spacious hand,

O Lord our God,

so that we shall never be ashamed or embarrassed.

Rebuild Jerusalem the holy city speedily in our days.

Blessed are You, O Lord,

who in His mercy rebuilds Jerusalem.

Amen.”
