Unchanging Love

Lord,

thank you for your eternal, unfailing love.

When I succeed in some endeavors,

and stumble and fail in more,

thank you for your love for me.

When I’m happy, secure, and confident,

when I’m discouraged, sad, and timid,

thank you for your love for me.

When I’m praying, reading your Word, and soaring in spirit,

when I’m exhausted, dull in my flesh, and rebellious,

thank you for your love for me.

When I’m believing, full of faith, and victorious,

when I’m fearful, anxious, and distrusting,

thank you for your love for me.

When some accept me,

and others reject me,

thank you for your love for me.

Whether the sun is shining and the sky is bright,

or darkness comes with storms and clouds,

thank you that your love for me never changes.

Lord, I am up one moment,

down the next,

limited, temperamental, capricious, and fickle.

You are my rock,

your love my anchor,

your grace and mercy

a refuge and respite

from the world and from me.

Thank you that your love never depended on me,

you love because you are love,

please give me the grace,

to delve into the heights, lengths,

widths, and depths of your love,

to never be familiar and always in awe of you,

seeking, open, wondering,

asking, knocking, trusting

expectant in faith and hope

of knowing you more.

I need you and I love you Lord.

Amen.

He’s Done It All

Lord,

it is finished,

you have done it all.

You saved me,

absolved all my sins,

past, present, and future,

delivered me out of slavery

from the power of sin

and the fear of death.

You heal all my diseases

of the soul, heart, mind, and body.

You’ve covered all my weaknesses,

failures,

You have given me your Spirit,

I will never die.

I have eternal life,

I’m a new creation in You

with a new call and purpose

to fulfill your will,

establishing your kingdom,

your love and righteousness

upon this earth,

waiting for your return.

There’s nothing I bring,

and everything I receive from you,

you who have covered,

poured out, overcompensated,

filled to overflowing all I will ever need

to live forever in your presence.

I praise you and thank you

from a wondering heart,

let me never stop wondering,

stop tiring of your mercy and love.

Amen.

Light Of The World

Light of the world,

we bless you.

Thank you for stepping into our darkness,

and saving us,

bringing comfort in our chaos,

opening our eyes and hearts to see

your beautiful mercy,

your welcoming heart,

you who are the only One who saves.

We rest in the sweetness of your Spirit,

your presence like honey,

anointing us with love,

precious fellowship,

warm camaraderie with you,

your good cheer,

happy heart

fills us with gladness,

and we remember you,

we worship you,

and bless you today.

Amen.

I Praise You Lord

Lord,

I worship you.

Son of God,

Son of man

made of skin, bone, and flesh,

yet filled with Holy Spirit,

stepping into time

making eternity known,

your Word, sacrifice, death, and resurrection.

your love, mercy, and grace,

Your presence is life,

you save and deliver,

you redeem and resurrect,

your wisdom is from above,

all your ways perfect and good.

There’s none like you,

holy, beautiful, unknowable God,

who has pursued and grasped my heart,

loved me into surrender,

and resurrected my life.

You alone are Lord,

King of kings,

the one true God.

and I praise you alone Lord,

Amen.

Tabernacle With Us

Lord,

I thank you for coming in fragile human flesh,

living among us,

knowing us intimately, painfully, and unreservedly.

Thank you for never turning away,

but pressing into death on the cross,

embracing all our brokenness,

taking all our sin, accusations, and shame,

and dying, burying it all in the grave.

You took yourself up into life,

which only you the Son of God, Son of Man can do,

and you made a way

for us to find home in you.

I praise you for being the tabernacle of life

that sustains, makes me whole,

bringing comfort, love, joy, peace, and rest.

I bless your Name for the promise

that you are coming again, soon,

and you’re making all things right

in accordance with your Word and decree,

waiting patiently for all

you’ve called into your household.

Thank you for your Spirit,

your presence with me

as we sojourn through this life,

and the hope of home with you

forever afterwards.

I bless you Lord.

Amen.

Glorious Surrender

Lord,

I come to you wondering at the magical trade

of my broken self for your strength and eternal life.

I’m amazed as you repair my skin,

putting boundaries around my heart,

establishing identity, a sense of self,

worth and treasure in my new wine skin.

I marvel at your Spirit anointing my hands

with power — enabling, fostering, strengthening me,

to do the works you’ve prepared for me.

I’m surprised once again,

that your yoke is a perfect fit for me,

bringing peace, contentment, and fullfillment,

and your burden is light, joyous, and life giving.

I consider once again this surrender,

made glorious by you, Son of Man,

and I choose to believe

that my old self has been crucified in you,

and my body of sin, shame, fear, and guilt no longer live and preside,

but you Lord are within and reigning,

and the life I live in the body,

I live by faith in you, Son of God.

You love me and gave all of yourself for me.

I praise you for this marvelous trade.

Amen.

Thank You Lord

Lord,

Thank you that you are gentle and humble in heart,

kind and patient with my failures and mistakes.

You are my humble King.

Thank you that your cadence and walk are unrushed, measured,

intentional with ease,

light, unpressured, strong.

You are my good Shepherd.

Thank you that your voice calls me to rest and healing,

life, beauty, and simplicity.

You are my life and eternal sanity.

Thank you for your wisdom and encouragement,

your ever present help and counsel.

You are my compass and north star,

the way, the truth, my life.

Thank you for upholding my heart,

knowing me, and loving me,

and advocating for me still.

You show me my heavenly Father,

His goodness and love,

and that I forever have a place

to rest secure and belong.

I love you Lord,

you are the light of my life.

Amen.

Balm Of Peace

Yeshua,

my Prince of Peace, Sar Shalom,

Balm of Gilead,

you anoint my head with oil,

warmth and sweetness dripping down

into the depths of my soul,

healing, comforting, soothing,

enveloping all of me

in your love, safety, and security.

My cup overflows,

as all my questions and hurts

once more find rest in you.

I bless your Name.

Amen.
