Delight

Lord,

My delight is in you…

You who hold the world together,

breathing life into all creation,

and sustaining all things by your power.

Your presence is good,

shining like the sun,

bringing light to the darkest places,

warming every crevice of my soul.

Wild, untamed, holy love,

you are safe and my place of refuge.

You are deep rest, peace, and quiet,

you ground me in you,

your strength embraces me,

and I am steady, calm, and full.

Lord, let my soul be a place

where your Spirit delights to abide,

to have unhindered reign,

where my heart and mind comply

to your life-giving Word

and beautiful ways,

a place for your glory to find home.

All worship, honor, and praise to you.

Amen.

God Who Is Life

Lord,

thank you for this day,

for your presence that rests on me,

your peace that settles my spirit,

thank you for the grace once again

to turn my heart to you

and warm my soul by your light.

You are Life,

Encourager, Comforter,

Guide, Counselor, and Grace.

You are Wisdom, Mercy,

Kindness, Goodness,

Compassion, Power, and Strength.

I will not fret,

for you are with me,

you order my steps.

Draw me close,

let me always cling to you,

and please don’t let me go,

for I am lost without you.

I love you,

Lord of my life,

King of my heart.

Amen.

Happy And Content

Lord,

help me to be present,

taking a moment,

catching a breath,

to remember you’re with me,

and be aware of your Spirit,

knowing I’m loved,

not by what I do,

but by all you’ve done.

Let me be content,

letting go of perfect,

leaning in, being ok,

and making peace with broken places,

letting your light,

your comfort shine through.

Let me serve you rightly,

pursuing you,

living to please you,

with joy, gratitude, and overflow,

simply as me,

no false burdens, guilt, or expectations,

exactly where I’m at…

with my few loaves and fishes,

offering back my gifts to you,

taking care of my small garden plot,

being faithful and diligent

in the small things…

they count, they matter,

trusting you,

sinking into your grace,

knowing you’re sufficient,

happy that with you,

I lack no good thing.

Let my heart be at peace,

giving life to my body,

joyfully giving my life for you.

Amen.

Peace Be Still

Lord,

Arrest me and gently draw my attention

when my mind is frozen in a whirling buzz

and stuck in anxious cycling.

Let your shalom break in

settling and grounding my body, mind, and soul.

Help me to be aware of unhelpful forces within

propelling me in reaction,

where I involve myself in distractions and busyness

you never called me in to.

Break in and deliver me from the root of anxiety within me.

I repent, acknowledging my helplessness before you.

I proclaim it is not my function or my portion,

yet it is all I’ve known,

so by faith I ask Lord for your mercy,

establish your peace that transcends all understanding in its place.

Still my body, heart, and brain to rest and heal.

Let me live guided by your peace,

moving at your pace,

and speak into my heart

your words of mercy, comfort, and life,

that I am accepted, enough, beloved in you.

Help me understand my true function

and your purposes for me,

pour out your Spirit of grace

so I may always turn back to you,

returning to truth, simplicity, stillness, and peace,

and be empowered to do your works by faith,

what you have portioned for my hands to do,

and find contentment

exactly as I am, where I am, wherever you lead,

wholly, fully present for this beautiful life

you have gifted me

that I may know you, know your joy,

and give you thanks and praise

every day, all my days.

Thank you for your power and peace Lord,

you are able.

Amen.

To Be Bold

Lord,

Hold onto me in my fragility,

I cling to you as my shield,

a strong tower, a refuge, and oasis

in the midst of chaos and turmoil surrounding me.

Help me to stay my mind upon you,

wash my anxiety, my riled spirit

with your living waters

for you are my Sar Shalom.

I remember your salvation,

your love,

your comfort,

your deliverance,

from all my past, the lies and memories that haunted me,

the care and comfort you provided in my weakness,

your strong hand

taking me from darkness into your marvelous light.

Thank you for your promise

that you are always with me,

I’m never alone,

your gift of your spirit of power, love, and a sound mind,

I have all I need in you.

So I will be bold and courageous

because you go with me,

I will not shrink back,

and even when I am crushed,

let the fragrance of your presence arise,

petals before a storm,

so that you receive your glory in this,

no matter what is to come.

All honor, dominion, power, and glory belong to you.

I love you Lord.

Amen.

Peace Be Still

Lord,

I thank you for your peace

transcending all understanding,

loosening and unfurling

the knotted messes of my soul,

calming, grounding, deepening within me

like the depths of an ocean swell

connected to the expanses of heaven above,

I’m riding the waves of praise emanating

from all your creation

and from my spirit within,

I can finally hear it

in the stillness of my soul.

Let me be still and know that you are God,

and align with the foundations of the universe

and all creation singing praise, glory, and honor

for who you are, what you’ve done,

your sacrifice, death, and life.

You hold the moon and stars in your hands,

you love this speck called earth,

you love me.

I rest assured, in peace,

in your ever-present, all-knowing, omnipotent love.

I praise you Lord.

Amen.

Promises

Lord,

In your presence,

in your hands,

I am safe, cared for, loved.

I thank you for your plans and thoughts

that you have for me,

I know they are plans for peace and my well-being,

not for disaster,

you are good through and through,

and I trust you,

you protect and guard over my life,

longing for your best for me.

I thank you that your plans are to give me a future and hope,

to restore all the years the locusts have eaten,

to pour out mercy and grace over past failures and shame,

to bring compensation for all the enemy has stolen, killed, and destroyed,

you bring strength and life to my heart.

I call on you Lord,

for your lovingkindness, generosity, and graciousness has won me over.

I come and pray to you,

knowing you hear my voice

and that you bend down from heaven,

tilting your ear to listen to me.

Your presence stirs deep longing in my heart for you, for eternity,

and I seek you, I need you,

you are my life, you are my everything,

and I will never stop searching for you with all my heart

because you promise to be found by me.

Lord, as your Word comes to pass in my life,

you will restore my fortunes and set me free

and all my generations coming forth,

and I will stand in your promises,

in the land you have given to me,

you will bring me back home.

I love you, bless you, and thank you Lord.

You alone are God, and worthy of all praise.

Amen.

Shabbat Shalom

Lord,

I praise you and thank you for your rest.

Lord of Shabbat,

thank you for eternal, spiritual rest in you,

living waters flowing to my mind, heart, and body,

regenerating cells and bringing life,

I praise you for this day each week

to come… and rest.

I love your presence,

I love your Spirit,

and I choose to trust you Lord,

Loosen my grip on my life,

and help me to surrender all once more into your hands.

Grant me the grace to commune with you,

gift me with prayer —

with words and spirit,

to enter into your heart,

see with your eyes, hear with your ears,

and to know your heart beating

throughout your Word.

Replenish me, rejuvenate me,

in all the dry, weary places.

In you alone am I revived and restored.

I bless you Lord,

Lord of my rest and heart.

Amen.

Secure In Love

Abba,

you hem in behind and before,

guiding me by the desires you place in my heart,

leading me into green pastures and rest,

making my path level and clear before me.

Life, joy, and peace abound,

as I walk with my Maker,

your yoke is easy and your burden is light.

I delight in your presence,

and I will not fear what lies before me,

I know that you’re with me every step of the way.

You are for me, not against me,

and I rest secure in my Abba’s love,

knowing I’m safe, beloved, and delighted in

as your child.

I bless you Abba.

Amen.
