Thanksgiving Feast

Abba,

Thank you for displaying your love

again and again,

despite me… my frenetic anxiety and fears,

and for inviting me to your banqueting table,

laying out a feast

for a starved heart.

I drink in your presence

and peace overflows,

washing away the cares of this world.

Your Spirit effervesces in mine,

bubbling up joy,

lighting up my countenance,

making my face bright.

I feast on your Word,

your promises and instructions,

wholesome and good like fresh bread,

full from your goodness and faithfulness.

I draw close to the warmth of your love,

surrounded by you, your Son, and the Spirit,

resting my heart in your wisdom,

enjoying your rich silence.

I praise you for being my loving Abba.

Thank you for being my shelter,

my refuge and rest.

Thank you for being my food,

my strength and sustenance.

Thank you for being my covering,

my protection and defense.

Thank you for making the way

so I will feast eternally with you.

I am rich,

I’m grateful for you Abba today.

Amen.

Thank You Lord

Lord,

I praise you,

there’s no one like you

in heaven or on earth.

Grant me words

for a heart that is astounded,

in awe of what you can do.

My spirit blesses you,

loves you,

sings to you.

I’m brought to my knees,

humbled by your mercy,

your redemption and healing.

Thank you for your light,

shining through my vulnerability,

drawing others close to you

through my weakness.

You don’t waste one thing,

you see every piece, every part,

Lord, it’s all yours.

I love you and bless you today.

Amen.

Make Me One…

Lord,

You are an artist,

painting moving pictures in the sky,

all you create is alive

with voices that sing you praise throughout the earth,

unending symphonies of joy and delight.

To look into your Word

is to gaze on perfection,

and know truth and righteousness

bringing life, healing, and security to my soul.

Your Word purifies my heart,

gives sight to my eyes,

and makes me clean.

Search me and know me Lord,

test me and know my anxious thoughts,

see if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.

Make me one that arrests your eyes as you search throughout the earth,

whom you would give your strong support,

one like David, who blesses your heart

that my joy would be full

in always thanking and praising you.

Amen.
